Mrs. Katie Knepp is one of three second grade teachers at Clearview Elementary School. She is a 2001 graduate from Red Lion Area High School and a 2005 graduate from Millersville University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Education. This is her tenth year teaching. She spent two years teaching at Mazie Gable, and seven years at North Hopewell-Winterstown. She is looking forward to a fresh start at Clearview! She really enjoys working with young children as they have such enthusiasm and love for learning.
She lives in Red Lion with her husband and two children. She has a son, Landon, who will be seven years old in December, and a daughter, Isabella, who will be three in April. Landon will start first grade at Pleasant View Elementary School this year. Izzy is a little bundle of energy who is growing and learning every day. She enjoys reading, crafts, shopping, and spending time with her family.
As a family, the Knepps recently endured the worst year and a half of their lives when their son was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a very aggressive form of childhood cancer. He underwent horrible treatments, but they are happy to say that as of January 2016, he is now in remission!!!
Her heart is devoted to teaching as she has always wanted to become a teacher. She enjoys her job very much and takes great pride in her teaching. She get a great deal of satisfaction watching her students grow throughout the year.
